PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of reducing a load noise in the frequency band of 200 to 400 Hz while reducing the weight of the tire. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire, a center groove 2 and a shoulder groove 3 extending in circumferential direction are provided in the surface of a tread 1, and the thickness t1 of a nonskid base of the center groove is formed smaller than the thickness t2 of the nonskid base of the shoulder groove. A fiber reinforced layer 7 is positioned on the axial outer side of a normal line 11 erected from a belt passing a groove end P1 or the shoulder side of the center groove, strides a normal line 13 erected from a belt passing the groove end P3 on the opposite side of a normal line 12 erected from a belt passing the groove end P2 of the shoulder groove on the centerline side of a tire cross section, and stuck on the outer surface of the belt 6. |
