PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer convenience to a user by informing a predicted output time without sacrifice of print speed and to select a printer optimal document information based on the predicted output time without sacrifice of print speed. SOLUTION: The data converter comprises a section 401 for detecting a processing of document information being executed prior to a designation for converting the document information into transmission data, a preceding converting section 403 for converting the document information into transmission data based on detection of the processing, and a section 406 for calculating a predicted output time of the transmission data from an output unit based on the converted transmission data.
