PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chaff comminution device which can improve the working efficiency of comminution, may be made compact and provides good operability without being restricted in a place for installation. SOLUTION: This comminution device is constituted by forming a comminution chamber 4 of the chaff to cylindrical form, providing the upper part in this comminution chamber 4 with a comminution rotary blade 8, freely angle adjustably disposing shutters 13 and 14 so as to cover the upper part of the comminution chamber 4 in the upper position of this comminuting rotary blade 8, communicating the upper part of the comminution chamber 4 via these shutters 13 and 14 with an ejection duct 17 for the comminuted chaff and disposing a fan 11 for inhaling the chaff into the comminution chamber 4 to the upper part of the comminution chamber 4.
