PURPOSE: A lithium ion battery and its manufacture method are provided to prevent overheating and heat congestion of the lithium ion battery and provide the lithium ion battery having an improved battery stability. CONSTITUTION: The lithium ion battery comprises: (i) a positive plate which contains lithium containing complex oxide; and (ii) a negative plate, of which one side is coated with a fine porous high molecular separator that contains an absorbent of lithium or lithium ion and has an elongation property due to dip-in an electrolytic solution. The method comprises steps of: (i) preparing a positive plate by casting a composition comprising a lithium complex oxide, an electric conducting agent, a binder and a casting solvent into a current collector; (ii) preparing a negative plate by casting a composition comprising an absorbent of lithium or lithium ion, a binder, a lithium complex oxide, an electric conducting agent and a casting solvent into a current collector; (iii) dissolving ion conductive high molecular material in an organic solvent and then mixing an organic solvent and an inorganic filler; (iv) coating one side of the negative plate with the slurry and then evaporating the organic solvent therefrom to form a fine porous high molecular separator; (v) laminating the fine porous high molecular separator formed on the one side of the negative plate to be contacted with the positive plate to form a battery structure body; and (vi) dipping the battery structure body in an electrolytic solution containing non-aqueous organic solvent and ionic lithium salt. |
