PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood material which is highly resistant to cracking and caster and besides, is excellent in water-resistance. SOLUTION: The wood material 1 is composed of a base board 6 and a decorative veneer 5, between which a rigid resin plate 9 is sandwiched and bonded. The rigid resin plate 9 is formed of a regenerated resin. In addition, a recessed groove 2 is formed penetrating the decorative veneer 5 and reaching the rigid resin plate 9, on the surface 1A side of the wood material 1.
