DEVICE AND METHOD OF TRANSCEIVING VIDEO SIGNAL

PURPOSE: A device and a method of transceiving a video signal are provided to detect information for respective screen and insert/transmit the detected screen information into the vertical/horizontal blanking intervals of video signals in transmission side, and process the video signals using the screen information inserted into the video signals in reception side, thereby obtaining high quality image without distortion. CONSTITUTION: A screen information detector(34) detects screen information by respective screen unit of input video signals. A video signal synthesizer(38) inserts the detected screen information into the blanking intervals of the video signals. A screen information encoder(36) compresses detected screen information and corrects/encodes the error of the compressed screen information to provide the encoded screen information to the video signal synthesizer(38). A transmitter(40) modulates the synthesized screen information to transmit the modulated signals.
