摘要 PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of an active matrix liquid crystal display device is provided to improve a yield of an active matrix liquid crystal display device of Cs-on-Com structure with auxiliary capacitance by decreasing fault caused by leakage of the auxiliary capacitance. CONSTITUTION: In a normally-white type active matrix liquid crystal display device(19), plural gate signal wiring(21) and source signal wiring are formed so as to be orthogonal to each other, and pixel capacitance(24) is connected at each intersection via a TFT(20), to display a picture. Auxiliary capacitance(25) is connected in parallel with the auxiliary capacitance(24). Auxiliary capacitance wiring(23) is driven so as to keep a potential difference higher than a threshold value to a common signal line(26) on a counter substrate by an auxiliary capacitance driving circuit(27). Since the potential difference higher than the threshold value is maintained across both ends of the pixel capacitance(24) even though the auxiliary capacitance leaks, the pixel is always prevented from being a brought defect, and this prevents the active matrix liquid crystal display device(19) from being faulty and a yield is improved.
