SOLID ACTIVATED CARBON-BASED STRUCTURE, METHOD FOR ELECTRIC DOUBLE-LAYERED CAPACITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid activated carbon-based structure having an excellent shape-retaining property, and to provide a polarizable electrode which uses the structure and is used for an electric double-layered capacitor having a high capacitance. SOLUTION: This solid activated carbon-based structure characterized by containing activated carbon and other carbon components in a total carbon amount (C) of >=85 wt.% and further containing nitrogen components (N) in a (N/C) weight ratio of 0.01 to 0.3 to the total carbon amount (C). The polarizable electrode 2 for the electric double-layered capacitor is manufactured using the solid activated carbon-based structure.
