<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide economical ferritic stainless steel parts high in outgas resistance while utilizing inexpensive S and excellent in machinability and corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: Steel having a composition containing, by mass, <=0.12% C, 0.05 to 1.00% Si, 0.50 to 2.50% Mn, <=0.04% P, 0.02 to 0.25% S, 0.01 to 0.50% Cu, 0.01 to 0.50% Ni, 15.0 to 25.0% Cr, <=0.05% N and 0.0050 to 0.0400% O, in which the ratio of Mn/S is >=5.0, and the balance substantial Fe is formed into a product shape and is thereafter subjected to dipping treatment into an oxidizing acid solution. If required, the steel furthermore contains Mo, W, Se, Pb, Bi, B, Ca, Mg, rare earth metals, Nb, V, Ti, Zr, Hf and Ta.</p> |
