PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an isobutylene block copolymer having a very low residual catalyst content while decreasing the load on the process. SOLUTION: In this process, a treatment with a metal alkoxide is conducted for deactivating the Lewis acid in a solution containing an isobutylene block copolymer and a Lewis acid.
