PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece sorting device capable of surely sorting the workpiece consisting of a metal-made plate material such as V-belt element in accordance with the existence of distortion. SOLUTION: Plural almost planar workpieces (w) are arranged in piles along a guide 1 extending in the horizontal direction. The transfer of the workpieces (w) is controlled by repulsively abutting a stopper 2 at the tip part of the guide 1. A clearance 12 equivalent to the thickness of the workpiece (w) is formed by separating the stopper 2 from the tip part of the guide 1. A slicing machine 3 rises and advances while being inserted between the forefront workpiece (w') abutting to the stopper 2 and following workpieces (w), (w)... to push the workpiece (w') toward the stopper 2. In the case when there is no distortion at the workpiece (w'), the workpiece (w') falls through the clearance 12 by gravity, and in the case when there is distortion at the workpiece (w'), the workpiece (w') is brushed aside while being held between the stopper 2 and the slicing machine 3.
