METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LEAD FRAME USING PATTERN FORMING PROCESS AND PALLADIUM PLATING PROCESS

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a lead frame is to carry out a process of forming a pattern of the lead frame and a process of plating palladium at one line. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of controlling a loop tension and feeding/detecting a margin loop at each process. The step of feeding/detecting the margin loop is carried out by a slack cell, and the step of controlling the loop tension is carried out by a power roller. The power roller includes a base, a supporting frame for supporting a pair of rollers, an upper and a lower rollers received with a power from a servo motor to supply a coil, and a coil holder for supporting the coil. The power roller constantly maintains a supply speed of the coil by controlling a rotation speed of the roller. The slack cell includes a supporting case for supporting the coil supplied at a previous process, a photo sensor attached to an inner wall of the supporting case for detecting the margin loop, and a lower-limit photo sensor for detecting a lower limit of the margin loop.
