PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing a plane display device which is surely capable of repairing switching elements (TFTs) with which display pixel defects occur. CONSTITUTION: This plane display device is constituted by forming a semiconductor layer and auxiliary capacitor electrodes(3) in the same layer on a glass substrate, forming a gate insulating film(9) on the top of the same, forming gate electrodes and auxiliary capacitor feeder lines(6) in the same layer on the top of the same, forming an interlayer insulating film(9) on the top of the same and forming source electrodes and drain electrodes on the top of the same. The resistance of the wiring parts between the auxiliary capacitor electrodes(3) and pixel electrodes is increased by irradiating the wiring parts with a laser and therefore the pixel electrodes are no more affected by the voltage of the auxiliary capacitor feeder lines(6), by which the frequencies of the occurrence of the display pixel defects may be decreased and the yield of production may be improved. |
