WIDE BAND SPECTRUM ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE RECEIVER OF DIGITAL TV AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A wide band spectrum electromagnetic wave receiver of a digital TV and a control method of the same are provided to be suitable to the realtime implementation according to the commercial usage of digital broadcasting, satisfy the gain required to a base band and resist periphery noise CONSTITUTION: A tuner(20) converts RF signals into IF signals used in the digital TV. A band filter(30) filters noise from the converted IF signals. An IF demodulator(40) converts the filtered IF signals into base band signals. An A/D converter(50) converts the base band signals into digital signals in accordance with a clock signal. A VSB(Vestigial Sideband) demodulator(60) demodulates the digital signals and then outputs a polarity control and AGC control signal to the IF demodulator(40). A clock controller(70) provides clocks to the A/D converter(50) and VSB demodulator(60). A controller(80) provides an initializing signal and a channel shift signal to the tuner(20), and counts the error factors of the VSB demodulating control signal, the channel shift signal and the demodulated signal. A buffer(90) temporarily stores signals demodulated in the VSB demodulator(60) to output the signals at output timing. A select output(100) selectively outputs audio and video signals from the signals output from the buffer(90).
