HEAT INSULATING AIRTIGHT STRUCTURE, HEAT INSULATING PANEL FOR USE THEREIN, AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a construction method for the exteriorly lined heat insulating structure of a roof portion, which comprises bonding an airtight tape to the upper side of the joint of a plastic foam type heat insulator provided with a portion to be inserted between rafters and portions to be placed on the outdoor sides of the rafters, by solving the drawback with the method that the airtight tape is likely to peel. SOLUTION: The plastic foam type heat insulator having the portion to be inserted between the rafters and the portions to be placed on the outdoor sides of the rafters has the airtight tape bonded to at least its surface making contact with the outdoor sides of the rafters. A heat insulating airtight structure is formed by mounting the heat insulator in such a manner that the portion to be inserted between the rafters is inserted between the rafters and the portions to be placed on the outdoor sides of the rafters are placed on the outdoor sides of the rafters. Therefore, airtightness is provided on installation of the heat insulator to thereby rationalize construction work and prevent peeling of the airtight tape even during a long period of use.
