PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erection method for a cage capable of efficiently and economically erecting the cage even in erection situations without a large crane, in a narrow construction area, with a deep trench depth, with unfavorable ground strength, and with a large weight of the reinforcing bar cage. SOLUTION: A suspending means installing process for installing a compact suspending means A such as a wire jack on circumferential edges of an opening of a trench T in which a cage 10 is erected, a reinforcing bar cage installing process for connecting the cage 10 carried onto the trench T to a suspending wire W movably held by the compact suspending means A and connected to the subject to be suspended, and a reinforcing bar constructing process for constructing the reinforcing bar cage 10 to a specified position in the trench T by the compact suspending means A are executed in order.
