METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CAST MOLDING SLURRY USING WATER ABSORBABLE MOLD SUCH AS GYPSUM MOLD OR THE LIKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a deformation or a craze of a molding in the step of drying or burning can be caused due to a density different between upper and lower parts of the molding by the own weight of a slurry when a water absorbable mold such as a gypsum mold or the like is molded in a stationary state, the molding capable of being molded is limited to a hollow molding in the case of molding by a centrifugal force and the water absorbable mold is no suitable molding of a large product due to the possibility of fracture of the mold or the like by the centrifugal force in the molding. SOLUTION: The method for cast molding a slurry using a water absorbable mold such as a gypsum mold or the like comprises the steps of charging the slurry in a cavity of the mold from an inlet formed at a centerline of the mold with an axis passing the substantially center of the cavity as the centerline, and then rotating the mold at a low speed of the degree not affecting a substantial influence to molding of the slurry by a centrifugal force in an attitude of holding the mold at the centerline as substantially horizontal at the centerline as a center while leaving the mold to stand for at a charging pressure.
