PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plywood which minimizes its positional deviation in a direction orthogonal with the conveying direction of the plywood fed during its conveyance, especially when it is moved forward while held from above and below by a pair of an upper and a lower roll as well as a method for manufacturing the plywood. SOLUTION: In the plywood 1 or a reverse dimensional plywood 17, composed of a plurality of laminated/bonded veneers 3, fuzzing 9 generated along grains running from the exposed face to the fiber direction of the veneer 3 and in an inclined state, crossing the fiber direction, is patterned in a mutually almost reverse direction from the exposed faces of the veneers 3 located at the top and the bottom in the laminated direction. Consequently, when the outer peripheries of the printed upper and lower pinch rolls 10, 11 linearly press the plywood from above and below, the vector of the movement of the fuzzing 9 in a direction crossing the conveying direction of the plywood, following the contraction and closing of the fuzzing 9 generated obliquely from the exposed face of the veneer 3 at the top and the vector of the movement, in a direction crossing the conveying direction, of the fuzzing 9 generated obliquely from the exposed face of the veneer 3 at the bottom, attract each other. Thus the movements of both vectors are almost offset and the positional deviation of the plywood is diminished.
