PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saw which can solve the problem of frictional resistance, even when a set of saw teeth is not formed at the edge. SOLUTION: In the saw having a saw blade body 1 whose plate thickness becomes gradually smaller from the edge 2 to the back 3 without forming a set of saw teeth at the edge 2, a concave face 5 curved like an arc from the centers of both sides of the saw blade body 1 to the edge 2 is formed in the length of blade direction. Thus, on account of the presence of the concave face 5 on the right and the left, it is possible to effectively prevent frictional resistance due to the contact between both side faces of the saw blade body 1 and the cut section of a wood from occurring. In addition, the persisting strength of the saw blade body 1 is ensured as the concave face 5 is arc-shaped.
