PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the movement of a seat between the inside and the outside of a cabin without increasing the size of a moving mechanism in a rotary seat for vehicle which is rotatable between the seating position facing forward and the transverse position facing sidewise, and movable between the inside and the outside of the cabin through a door opening part. SOLUTION: A widthwise supporting base 3 to movably support a seat body in the vehicle width direction is formed of a two-stage straight slide mechanism 11. The two-stage straight slide mechanism 11 comprises a pair of right and left outer rails 12 as fixed rails, a middle rail 13 and an inner rail 14 as movable rails, and a large number of steel balls arranged between grooves facing each other of each rail. The middle rail 13 and the inner rail 14 are respectively moved by a transmission mechanism comprising ball screws 22 and 32 and ball nuts 28 and 38 with electric motors 20 and 30 as drive sources, and the seat body mounted on the inner rail 14 is moved in two stages.
