PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the risk of catching a finger of an operator in an engaging part at the time of an opening or closing operation of an opening/closing type cover for a large printer. SOLUTION: An engaging part 31a to be engaged with a hand 5 is formed in a front cover (opening/closing type cover) 31. The engaging part 31a comprises a recess part 311 recessed backward, and a projecting part 310 formed above the recess part 311 projecting downward from the front cover 31 main body. The recess part 311 is formed so as to be deepened gradually from the lower part to the center part as well as be of the substantially same depth from the center part to the upper part, with a ceiling part 311a having a substantially flat surface provided in the upper part thereof. According to the recess part 311 and the projecting part 310, a fitting part 312 for inserting and fitting fingers 5a of a hand upward from below (that is, in the direction away from the fulcrum axis as the rotation fulcrum) is formed in the engaging part 31a. |
