PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely load materials such as crushed stones without dispersing, to enable simultaneous operations in the top/bottom of a vertical shaft, to arbitrarily load the materials irrelevant to the carry-out consumption, and to stably supply the loading materials of favorable grain size balance to a material carry- out part in loading the crushed stones using the vertical shaft in backfilling an old underground gallery. SOLUTION: A loading pipe 2 is installed in the vertical shaft from a top material loading part to the bottom material carry-out part with its bottom end positioned above the bottom face 1a of the material carry-out part, the crushed stones are accumulated in the lower part of the loading pipe 2 and the bottom of the loading pipe 2, the crushed stones are carried out of a stable and conical material accumulation pile by a mini backhoe, a forklift, etc., the crushed stones are smoothly lowered and replenished from the bottom end of the loading pipe 2 to form the stable and conical accumulation pile, and the crushed stones are thus replenished in the loading pipe 2 and always accumulated in the lower part of the loading pipe and in the bottom of the loading pipe.
