TELEVISION PROGRAM GUIDE METHOD OF TELEVISION RECEIVER

PURPOSE: A television program guide method of a television receiver is provided to allow a user to directly select a desirable program at a television screen by displaying a channel selecting window and a program selecting window on the television screen. CONSTITUTION: The method for guiding a television program displays a program guiding image(400) on a television screen in response to an instruction by a user and receives a program through a channel which is selected by the user. The program guiding image(400) includes a channel searching window(200) for allowing the user to select one of channels receivable and a program searching window(300) for showing a list of programs which will be broadcasted through the selected channel. The list of programs is displayed in a way of a clock-type. The channel searching window(200) and the program searching window(300) are displayed at a portion of the screen area, respectively. The channel searching window(200) includes scroll buttons(204, 206).
