ORIFICE UNIT FOR GLASS MELTING FURNACE

PURPOSE: An orifice unit for a glass melting furnace is provided which keeps the temperature of the lower end of an orifice ring constant and controls badness of the glass caused by the temperature difference between the orifice ring and the molten glass materials. CONSTITUTION: The orifice unit for a glass melting furnace(35) comprises: (i) an orifice holder(37) which is connected to the lower part of a feeder(10) that guides molten glass materials(21); (ii) an orifice ring(40) which is supported by the orifice holder and supplies the molten glass materials received from the feeder to a molding device that molds the molten glass materials into an adequate form; and (iii) an insulating layer which is installed on an open area of the lower end of the orifice ring along the outer circumference of the orifice ring.
