PURPOSE: A current compensating unit of a flat panel display is provided in which current compensation according to the temperature variation is performed more accurately and stably. CONSTITUTION: In a flat panel display equipped with a panel consisting of a cathode substrate(10) on which an emitter is arranged, wherein the emitter is installed on a cathode electrode(16) by a medium of a resistive layer for emitting electrons, and an anode substrate oppositely installed to the cathode substrate, the current compensating unit of a flat panel display comprises a resistance sensing pattern detecting a resistance according to temperature variation of the panel; a comparator(18) comparing detected signals of the resistance sensing pattern with a standard signal; and a voltage controller(20) varying a power supplied to the cathode electrode(16) according to an output signal of the comparator(18).
