PURPOSE: A system for collecting traffic information using mobile terminals is provided to extract traffic information from signals received from a traffic information terminal, in which a DGPS(Differential Global Positioning System) receiver is installed, and a generic mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A terminal with DGPS receiver(11) adds position information and time information to a user's voce signal and sends it. A repeater(12) relays the radio communication signal sent from the terminal with DGPS receiver(11) to an exchange(13). A radio exchange(13) receives the radio communication signal from the repeater(12). A demodulator(14) extracts only position information from the signal inputted from the radio exchange(13). A traffic information center(15) calculates a terminal user's speed using position information, obtains information necessary to measure traffic by discriminating a pedestrian and a vehicle passenger through the moving speed, and utilizes it as traffic information.
