PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink sheet for thermal transfer recording and a method for forming an image which prevent a defect of the image and make the uniformity of image density and resolution excellent, and a method for manufacturing the ink sheet for thermal transfer recording which is free of omission, unevenness or the like of coating and excellent in coating properties and prevents lowering of a yield. SOLUTION: This ink sheet for thermal transfer recording has at least a photothermal conversion layer and an ink layer in this sequence on a substrate. Herein the surface glossiness (surface glossiness Gs (60 deg.) measured by a method stipulated by JIS-Z8741) of the photothermal conversion layer is 90 or above. |
