PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a corner part from being extruded to a ring face side, even if the corner part is compressed by the connection of segments, to remove a factor of crack initiation, and to prevent the sealing performance from lowering. SOLUTION: After water expansive sealant is extruded and the sealant body 25 is vulcanization molded and cut longer than a piece face 7 of the segment 1, appropriately V-shaped cut parts 33 are provided in respective parts corresponding to a pair of external angles 1c across the whole width of the sealant body 25 in the thickness direction so as to be formed into thin hinge parts 35, the sealant body 25 is bent down with the respective thin hinge parts 35 set to internal angle sides, their opened parts are filled with unvulcanized rubber 37, and vulcanization molded by a heating press so that the ring face 5 side becomes an inclined face 28. The inclined face 28 is so formed that its length in the ring face 5 direction is set to 1.7-4 times of the thickness of the sealant body 25, and its length in the piece face 7 direction is set to 0.8-1.4 times of the thickness of a value obtained by subtracting the depth of the seal groove from the thickness of the sealant body 25.
