PURPOSE: A method for managing resource release using an FR/PRI(Frame Relay/Primary Rate Interface) call process identifier is provided to prevent a resource from being not released due to message loss in an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) or a fault of an IWF(Inter Working Function) by executing FR/PRI resource release mutually between the MSC to the IWF. CONSTITUTION: If a resource release signal is transmitted from an MS(Mobile Station), an FRC(Frame Relay call Control) forwards a resource release message(IWF_release) to a PRC(Primary Relay call Control)(ST45). The FRC transmits a disconnection request signal to an IWF and attempts resource release for an FR call. The PRC, receiving the PRI resource release signal from the FRC, attempts PRI resource release(ST46-ST53). If the FR call resource is released, the IWF attempts PRI resource release through the PRC. Accordingly release for the PRI resource is executed between the IWF and the PRC in two ways so that PRI resource release can be achieved normally even through the IWF is in abnormal condition. |
