PURPOSE: A spindle motor is provided to effectively prevent the leakage of an oil generated by the centrifugal force by using a recess formed in a shaft, a thrust bearing, and a bush and an oil leakage preventing space portion formed by a tapered surface. CONSTITUTION: A sleeve is mounted to the outer peripheral surface of a shaft(100) so that the sleeve is supported by a plurality of bearing surfaces. A thrust bearing(300) is engaged with the outer peripheral surface of the upper portion of the shaft(100). Bearing surfaces are formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the thrust bearing(300). A hob(400) is mounted to the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve. A disc is positioned on the outer peripheral surface of the hob(400). A bush(500) is mounted to the inner side surface of the hob(400) to prevent the leakage of the oil between the thrust bearing(300) and the sleeve.
