PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolving door supporting mechanism which can be resistant to the external force such as the wind pressure without impairing appearance. SOLUTION: The revolving door is provided with external walls 2 parallel to an access passage, a center core 3 or an oval section between the external walls, the passage demarcated by a lower side 4a of a ceiling, a floor, the center core and the external walls; upper and lower rails 10 and 11 inside the center core; upper and lower suspensions 13 and 14 movably engaged with the upper and lower rails; a plurality of doors 12 supported and moved by the upper and lower suspensions, and a traction bar 56 with a traction chain 75 driven by the respective upper suspensions of the door connected thereto. A carrier bar 15 is provided on the upper suspension, an upper end on the center core side and the lower end of the door are rotatably supported by the carrier bar and the lower suspension, respectively, and the upper end of the door is held on the carrier far by an electromagnetic lock 51 in an attachable/detachable manner apart from the rotatably supporting position. The carrier bar and the lower suspension are connected to each other by a frame 38. The carrier bar is formed of a hollow member 41, and a bearing 49, an electromagnetic lock and a sensor 54 are disposed thereon. A self-closing device 57 is provided on the traction bar. |
