PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block provided with a cooling water jacket capable of eliminating a process for removing a filler of a cavity part. SOLUTION: In the cylinder block provided with the cooling water jacket molded by insert casting an insert member, a hollow reinforcing member is inserted into the inserting member to be insert molded. The reinforcing member is formed of a pipe having a communicating hole. A plate member having the communicating hole is molded into a pipe shape, and thereby, the reinforcing member is molded. The plate member is spirally molded, so that the reinforcing member is formed. The reinforcing member is formed with a single member of a hollow shape.
