PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic which is used for scalp and hair and has not only the excellent alopecia-preventing and trichogenous effects of the scalp and the excellent dandruff and itch-preventing and softening effects of the scalp, but also the synergistically enhanced gray hair-preventing effect of Zanthoxylum piperitum(L.)DC. SOLUTION: This cosmetic for scalp and hair, characterized by containing (a) a throsinase activity-stimulating agent and (b) a hair follicle-activating agent. The tyrosinase activity-stimulating agent includes the solvent extracts of plants such as Zanthoxylum piperitm(L.)DC. and Paramerial laevigata, and the hair follicle-activating agent includes nicotinamide and vitamin B6.
