FOOTHOLD FOR WALKING ON ESCALATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foothold for walking on an escalator capable of easily and compactly being mounted on opening parts of the escalator appearing when steps are removed. SOLUTION: A supporting fitting 21 is mounted on a main body of a foothold 20 for walking on an escalator. The supporting fitting 21 is a means for mounting the foothold 20 for walking on the escalator on step shafts 3 provided on opening parts of the escalator and is provided so that the mounting position may be changed in the longitudinal direction of a foothold main body. In the supporting fitting 21, cut-outs 21a inclined and extended for the foothold main body are formed. By engaging the step shafts 3 to the cut-outs 21a, the foothold main body is laid on the opening parts of the escalator.
