PURPOSE: A device for opening a landing door of an elevator is provided to reduce production costs by simplifying the structure of the device without installing a key way and to improve productivity by reducing the work time for assembling. CONSTITUTION: A device for opening a landing door(1) of an elevator includes a hanger plate(4) supported with the landing door hung and having a through hole(6) formed at the lower part for inserting the upper end part of a landing door key(5) inserted into the gap between the landing door and a jamb(13), a base of a locking release member fixed at the hanger plate, and an operating part(10) of the locking release member coupled with one end of the base by a hinge and pushed to the upper end part of the landing door key passing through the through hole, so that the operating part is separated from a fixing hook to release the locking state of the landing door.
