PURPOSE: A driving apparatus of a field emission display is provided to realize a uniform image by compensating for a distortion of an image generated due to the formation of a nonuniform electron amount of an array of a panel. CONSTITUTION: A controller(15) generates and outputs clock signals(GCLK,DCLK,M_CLK) and control signals(GSP,OE,LE) and data(D) required in driving an FED(Field Emission Display) panel(18) having an anode and a cathode and a gate according to an image signal(NTSC signal) from the external. A cathode driving unit(16) performs a pulse width modulation by receiving the data(D) transmitted from the controller and provides it to the FED panel sequentially. And, a gate driving unit(17) enables the cathode driving unit to output the data(D) sequentially by generating a scan signal of a fixed pulse width by receiving a clock signal(GCLK) and a control signal(GSP) transmitted from the controller.
