<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse wave transmission speed information measuring device capable of accurately measuring the pulse wave transmission speed information. SOLUTION: A time difference between the time when a second heart sound 11 is detected by a heart sound microphone 16 with the artery of the upper arm in the upper arm 60 pressed by a large rubber pouch 62 and the time when a notch of the upper arm pulse wave is detected by a small rubber pouch 64 mounted in a position close to the large rubber pouch 62 on the upstream of the large rubber pouch 62 is calculated as a pulse wave transmission time DT by a pulse wave transmission time calculating means 128 (S10). In the condition where the upper arm 60 is pressed by the large rubber pouch 62, the notch of the upper arm pulse wave detected by the small rubber pouch 64 mounted in the position close to the large rubber pouch 62 is more clear on the upstream side of the large rubber pouch 62, so that the notch detection time can be accurately determined. Thus, according to the accurately determined notch detection time, the pulse wave transmission time DT can be calculated so as to calculate the accurate pulse wave transmission time DT.</p> |
