PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container in which a usual packaging shock absorbing material is not used, the items stored in the container can be protected against shock and its disposal after use is facilitated. SOLUTION: A packaging container 70 has a pair of casing main bodies 8, 8 having their one side connected in a longitudinal direction. A pair of casing main bodies 8, 8 are made such that a sheet of double-surface type cardboard is molded by a die. Each of the casing main bodies 8 has a notch 81 constituting a storing space 810 for use in storing items. A transparent and soft synthetic resin film 9 is applied in tension at an opening 811 of the notch 81. The item is stored in the container under a state where it is held by films 9, 9, and the item is held at a hollow position of the storing space 810 without being contacted with the casing main bodies 8, 8.
