PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine element having a rolling mechanism provided with excellent corrosion resistance and rolling fatigue strength and also small in noise at the time of driving and to produce a rolling contact member thereof. SOLUTION: As the stocks for inner and outer rings 1 and 2 and a ball 5, steel in which the contents of chromium and carbon are made smaller than those in the conventional corrosion resistant bearing steel, and nitrogen of 800 to 2000 ppm is added is used, by which a ball bearing in which carbides appearing on the transfer faces 3 and 4 of the inner and outer rings 1 and 2 and the surface of the ball 5 are fine, and noise at the time of driving is small can be provided. |
