PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety razor devised so that an abutting position of an edge and an object part to be shaven in more detail can be easily seen from either of an upper part and the side of razor in the safety razor suitable for being used when treating useless hair. SOLUTION: In a razor for orthogonally arranging a blade hold for holding a razor blade and a gripping handle part of the razor a see-through void is secured in the vicinity of a crossing part of the blade holder and the gripping handle part, and one end of the blade holder and a root side end part of the gripping handle part are connected in a state of not hindering a function of this see-through void.
