PURPOSE: A detector for a frame synchronous signal of audio data is provided to increase a data decoding performance by exactly detecting a frame synchronism in an audio decoder of an HDTV. CONSTITUTION: A data arranging section(10) arranges an input audio serial bit stream in a byte unit and detects a frame synchronous signal by a synchronous word in a header information. A word number counter(20) counts the number of words arranged in the data arranging section(10). A synchronous detecting and judging section(30) extracts a frame size code value from the header information from the data arranging section(10). The synchronous detecting and judging section(30) designates the extracted frame size code value as an address of a frame size table storage section(40) to obtain a frame size. The synchronous detecting and judging section(30) searches the first word value of a next frame and discriminate whether a synchronous signal is present. |
