WIDE VISUAL ANGLE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE: A wide visual angle liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the manufacturing costs by including a ridge/slit pre-tilt, a post spacer and a dam structure. CONSTITUTION: A color filter substrate(102) and a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate(104) opposite to each other. A transparent electrode(122) is formed on a color filter layer(106) and a color filter stack(112). A dam(110), a post spacer(108) and a ridge(114) are formed by depositing and patterning a dielectric layer(120) on the color filter layer(106) and the color filter stack(112). The TFT substrate(104) further includes a pixel electrode(138).
