PURPOSE: To reduce size and weight of a bearing of a camshat and miniaturize an internal combustion engine in a valve system of an overhead valve type internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: This valve system of an overhead valve type internal combustion engine 30 has a camshaft 57 supported by a bearing and provided with an intake cam 75 and a supercharge cam 77, an intake cam follower 78, a supercharge cam follower 80, an intake rocker arm 85, a supercharge rocker arm 87, an intake pull-rod 82 and a push rod 84. The intake cam follower 78 abuts against the intake cam 75 on the side of a cylinder 46 of an attaching surface B of the cylinder 45 and the cylinder head 43. The supercharge cam follower 80 abuts against the supercharge cam 77 on the side of the cylinder head 43 of the attaching surface B.
