PURPOSE: To provide a datum meter and path measuring tool for railway laying and measuring tool for railway slab laying, which improve measurement accuracy and repeatability in setting a datum mark of datum meter. CONSTITUTION: A datum meter comprises a bottom plate 11, having a notch in the center of each periphery of a rectangle metal plate and provided with bearings 21a and 21b stood on facing to two peripheries a horizontal screw 12 bridging over both bearings 21a and 21b, a traversing piece 13 screwed in the horizontal screw 12, long-size vertical screws 15a and 15b screwed in the traversing piece 13 and fitting on the bottom plate 11 surface, and datum mark 14 forming a concave shape part 142 in the upper surface center and having a male screw, which screws in the traversing piece 13.
