PURPOSE: A pipeline installation method uses a steel buoy whose form is not changed due to the depth in water to maintain buoyancy to improve stability, economical efficiency and construction efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A pipeline installation method comprises a rigid body installation step and a pipeline installation step. The rigid body installation step is to connect a rigid body having a space therein to generate buoyancy with a pipeline(3). The pipeline installation step is to install the pipeline(3) with the rigid body installed to a desired place and includes a buoyancy adjusting step. The buoyancy adjusting step is to inject fluid into the rigid body to adjust the buoyancy of the rigid body.
