PURPOSE: A public traffic information collecting and guiding system is provided to achieve an effective time management during using a bus and to make a smooth traffic flow in a town area. CONSTITUTION: The number of a bus and what is the sequence of the bus from a starting point are transmitted to an infrared reception panel installed in each stop through a local area wireless transceiver(11) installed in the bus. The infrared reception panel sends the information collected like the above to a traffic information center through a wire/wireless network, and the traffic information center readjusts a service time and a service interval of the bus and informs it to each bus. And, the traffic information center transmits the above information to a panel of each stop in order for a user to use the information. And, the information is transmitted to a bus company and the company uses the information in managing the bus effectively.
