PURPOSE: An apparatus for ejecting a tray of a disk drive is to perform an ejecting operation of the tray using the driving force of a driving source for moving a pick-up device, thereby minimizing the number of constructing component. CONSTITUTION: A driving source generates driving force for moving a pick-up device(40). A conveying member is rotated by the driving force of the driving source to move the pick-up device. A releasing member is always interlocked with the conveying member to receive the driving force and selectively release coupling state of a tray. The tray is coupled in a set to prevent protrusion of the tray without permission. The conveying portion is a lead screw(30) formed with a screw thread at a certain sector of an outer surface thereof as a power transmitting portion for engaging with the pick-up device and transmitting power. The power transmitting portion has a parallel groove at one end thereof to restrict movement of the pick-up device. A warm portion for interlocking with the releasing portion is formed at the other end of the power transmitting portion.
