PURPOSE: A glove box opening and shutting device opens and shuts a glove box slidingly according to the operation of a solenoid to reduce noise and prevent stuff stored in the glove box from dropping. CONSTITUTION: An opening and shutting device comprises guide members(125), guide grooves(130), solenoids(135) and a button switch(180). The guide members(125) protrude behind a door(115) and have catching grooves(120) on the upper surfaced thereof. Guide grooves(130) are formed on an instrument panel(105) so that the guide members(125) are slidingly inserted to. The solenoids(135) has one ends caught by the catching grooves(120) of the guide members(125) so that a glove box(100) can be opened and shut when the guide members(125) are inserted into the guide grooves(130). The button switch(180) supplies and intercepts electricity of a battery(185) to the solenoids(135).
