PURPOSE: An apparatus for adjusting RPM of fan motor for air conditioner is provided to maintain cooling/heating performance maximum by allowing the RPM to be adjusted in accordance with the type of the air conditioner and the external environment. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a photo triac(23) for forming a closed loop together with a fan motor(21) and a driving power(22) and which is switched on/off in accordance with a phase control signal input from an external source so as to adjust the effective value of the voltage applied to the fan motor; a micro computer(24) for receiving, from a user input, an air blow level of high, middle, low, determining RPM of the fan motor in accordance with the user input, and supplying the phase control signal to the photo triac; a first RPM input unit(25) for inputting RPM of the fan motor when a high level air blow is input to the micro computer; and a second RPM input unit(26) for inputting RPM of the fan motor when a low level air blow is input to the micro computer.
