PURPOSE: An AC type plasma display device is provided to allow a generation of electromagnetic waves to be very small and remove unevenness of luminance. CONSTITUTION: An AC type plasma display device includes a first and a second substrates, which one is a transparent substrate, arranged across discharge space, a plurality of electrodes including a scanning electrode(10) and a sustaining electrode(11) arranged on the first substrate, and at least one or more conductor arranged approximately in parallel with the electrodes. The electrodes constitute a row and the conductor(12) have a function generating electromagnetic waves having polarities opposite to those of electromagnetic waves which are to be generated by a current flowing through the scanning electrode(10) and the sustaining electrode(11) when sustaining pulse voltages are applied between the electrode(10) and electrode(11).
